Virtual PA -vs- The Office Temp

There are businesses that have never tried hiring Virtual Assistants who ask us – “why should I hire a virtual assistant over an office temp?”  So here is a brief comparison of temporary workers and virtual assistants:

100% Productive Time - Virtual assistants only charge for 100% Productive Time - Temps are usually paid on a per day basis. Hire a temp for a week and you will need to pay them for that whole week.  With a VA, if you only need our services for 1 hour per day then that’s all you will pay us for!

Total flexibility – VA’s are usually more flexible when it comes to working hours because we work virtually. This means that we can agree to working at night, out of hours or even at weekends.  Hire a Temp and they will need to work in your office during office hours.

More experience - VA's usually have more experience - most VA’s have many years of experience and decide to work at home just because it is either more convenient or because we have finally decided to establish our own outsourcing businesses.  Whilst many temps are also skilled workers, most virtual assistants have superior skills in many areas and also understand the pressures of running a business.

No Training Required - VA's do not need extensive training and orientation - VA’s are so used to providing a wide range of services to different clients. Give us a clear brief and concise instructions and leave the rest to us!

We are interested in your success - VA’s take an interest in your success because as business owners ourselves we know the importance of having reliable, timely support, in order for your business to grow.  Temp workers do not always work with that mindset, many temp workers only care about the tasks that they are given and don’t see the bigger picture.
