Are you using your email signature to its full potential...

I'm always amazed at the amount of people that don't have an e-mail signature.  Imagine the scenario; you've written an amazing e-mail and sent it to a prospective client. Suitably impressed, the client wants to find out more, but rather than going backwards and forwards via e-mail they just want to pick up the phone and give you a quick call. Simple enough you may think.  But what if your contact details aren’t on the e-mail?

Adding a signature to your e-mails is such an easy task that only needs doing once. Set it up then forget about it, safe in the knowledge that your contacts will only need to look to your last e-mail to have all of your details to hand.  If you already have an email signature then pat yourself on the back - but don’t forget to have a look at it and check that it's up to date and fulfilling its full potential as a brilliant free marketing tool!

  • Why not add your company logo to your signature? It's a great way of building your brand identity with every e-mail that you send
  • Got a website? Adding a link to your e-mail signature will enable contacts to click straight through to your site, often answering many of their own questions as they do
  • Using Social Media? Why not add buttons to your signature, enabling contacts to follow you with just one click?
