Transform Your Business with 2010 New Year's Resolutions

1. Do what you do best
Commit to doing more of what you enjoy and less of what you do not! These may be the tasks that take up too much of your time or cause stress - so make life easier and learn to delegate.  Remember, your chores are other people's challenges!  Spend more time on activities that accentuate your talents and natural gifts and less time trying to improve your weaknesses or shortcomings.

2. Get organised
Being overwhelmed with clutter can make you feel busier than you actually are.  Start the year by doing an office/desk tidy.  Go through every piece of paper in every file with a goal to bin it, box it (future needs) or re-file it (near term needs). Start your 2010 with a refreshed attitude - begin or end each day with 5-10 minutes worth of organising.

3. Re-analyse your "to-do list"
Does your 'to-do list' look more like an annual plan? Are you working 10, 12 and 14-hour days and you still don't feel you've got it all done?  Go back through your 'to-do list' and prioritise each item to 'do it',' delegate it' or 'scratch it'.  Prioritising your list allows you to do more of the kind of things that bring personal, professional and monetary rewards and less of what steals your time.

4. One at a time
Once you have decided on your priorities for each day, week, month, and year, focus on the tasks at hand...setting up firewalls to keep any distractions from diluting your focus.  While we have two hands, two eyes and two ears, we only have one brain, so it is extremely difficult to concentrate on two or more projects and do them well at the very same time.

5. Surround yourself with positive people
Good attitudes are contagious but bad attitudes are even more so, draining our energy. Choose to spend your precious time with people who'll support you, encourage you and celebrate in your success. A Virtual PA can be a great asset to your business - we not only offer support but can do some of the thinking for you. You'll soon end up wondering how you ever survived without us!

6. Keep in touch with your clients
You've probably got a wealth of names in your contact database, but when was the last time they heard from you?  Many business owners spend more time looking for new business than keeping in touch with their current and former clients.  Nurturing the relationships you already have is crucial to growing a successful business. Finding new ways to keep in touch with your contacts on a regular basis is vital to your business relationship.

Wherever we spend our precious resources - time, money and energy - is where we will see the greatest results.  Why not decide what results you'd like to achieve in 2010, and spend your time, energy and focus on getting there?

Book a FREE one hour consultation today and we can help you decide.  We're more than happy to talk things through at a time to suit you - with absolutely no obligation to take things further.
