By anyone's standards the past 18 months have been testing for all of us. The economic downturn, rising costs of living and worries about the future have left us all feeling anxious, but what can we do to ease the daily pressure?
In this article, In a Pickle recommend five ways to help you get the best from your day - from delegating, planning to filing and the importance of taking breaks - we've got it covered!
Don't be afraid to delegate: Taking on too great a workload or trying to micro-manage are likely to leave you feeling stressed. Focus on your areas of strength and delegate the rest
One at a time please: Attempting more than one task at a time is counter-productive and a sure fire way to get yourself in a pickle. Start a job, complete it, then move on
Plan in advance: Take some time at the start of each day to plan what you need to achieve. As mentioned in previous months there are numerous tools to help you do this such as Doomi and Outlook. Failing that, grab a piece of paper and start scribbling
Spring clean: Ask yourself 'how much time gets wasted every day looking for that file, document, business card?' Knowing where everything is will help you take control of your life and reduce stress. So get organised.
Take a break: Allow yourself some time to "switch-off" and put what has happened during the day into perspective. This is especially important for everyone who works from home and is therefore never truly away from the office
If the mere thought of getting organised or delegating has left you stressed then why not give us a call? From diary management to finishing off those little tasks you just never get round to, In a Pickle can help you to get the best from your day!
